I HATE THIS RAIN AND SNOW!!!!!

Well, the news this week is very sparse except that if it doesn't quit raining we're gonna have to buy a boat! This is ridiculous. Also, when I got up this morning it was SNOWING! I mean---it's the end of May, gang, and it was snowing! I just called Mom and she said that Doug said there was 2 inches of snow over in Bear Lake when they left today. Their family spent the week in Bear Lake. Everything is very green. I'm going up to Logan tomorrow and Mom and I are meeting Randy and Leisa and the kids in Paradise. We'll go from there around the valley taking flowers to put on the graves. I can't believe it's been three years since Daddy died! I talked to Rae Ann today too and she said that Michael had a brand new car! Good for you! The only thing I know of that is news is that Anna, Randy's oldest, is being honored for being on the Honor Roll this year. She is very much like her Aunt Rae Ann in that she is very driven to get good grades.
We have a birthday this week:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BIG GUY!

WE ARE STILL ALIVE AND KICKING!!!!!

Well Tam got home from Israel and had a great time! She said they walked (ALOT!) and did lots of stairs so I was grateful I didn't go! She also said she felt safe and that there really wasn't anything they encountered that made them feel unsafe! She also said that she learned a lot and I bet that seeing the country and places where the Savior would have walked were awesome! When she got home last Wednesday, she slept for about 2 days to get caught up on jet lag! Well here's the news:
1. Yesterday Tam and I went to the Hale Theater. We have season tickets and go on Saturdays at noon to the matinee. At the end of the show I was searching around for my cell phone and someone called out my name. I turned around and it was Sara and John. We visited for a few minutes. They said that the doctors didn't ever figure out what had caused the infection in Andrew's hand. All of a sudden it appeared, however, they got it out and he's now almost up to where he was before it all happened! He's even playing the piano and violin again! It was so neat to see them and visit.
2. I don't remember if I said that Allison and Tobin are expecting a baby boy in October. Doug said he may even come as early as his birthday which is then end of September. I hope he come in October because we have LOTS of room on the calendar for him in October!!!! Doug also said they're thinking of names like Heb and Ev!
3. Randy, Leisa and the kids went up to visit Grandma/Mom yesterday. They took a ride up to the cabin and said that they ran into Rick Rose. He said that all was well with the cabin and that there was no flooding, yet! It will be a miracle if we dodge the flooding bullet this year with the cabin. Tam and I went home yesterday after the play by way of Weber Canyon and all along the Weber it was flooding! Oh well!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, THOMAS!
Well that's it! This week will be a busy one and it makes me tired just thinking about it! Wednesday I'm going in for a root canal! Don't ask! I've begged and begged to have the dentist pull all of my teeth, but to no avail, so I'm slowly losing them the hard way and it's VERY EXPENSIVE which I hate. Anyway after the root canal I'm getting my monthly haircut and color and then going to a retirement party for a collegue of mine from the school I worked at! Thursday I'm meeting Randy and Leisa and the kids in Payson to put flowers on the Curtis graves for Mom. Tuesday and Friday it's working at the temple! Well, be good, remember who ya are and keep your socks up!!!!!

WOW!!!!

Well, if you haven't checked out Neil & Tamara's blog----you're missing something! They have the pictures to prove it too! They are standing around talking to John Huntsman and I assume the rest of the people is Huntsman's family. If you've been living on Mars, John Huntsman just stepped down as the ambassador to China and is considering running for the President of the U.S. Before that, he was the govenor of the state of Utah! I didn't realize you guys are so well connected! That is neat!
Well here is the news for the week:
1. Mom (Maxine) is doing great! Rae Ann went up this week. She took in Mom's hearing aids to be cleaned and when I spoke to Mom she was so frustrated because she couldn't hear. She was wishing she could throw them out! She said she was going to speak to Doug and see if he knew what was wrong. Well, I hung up shortly thereafter because Mom couldn't hear a word. About two minutes later she calls back and giggled and said that she took her left hearing aid out and found out the case wasn't shut properly! Now she can hear! She was very excited! All of the flowers she got for Mother's Day were beautiful! She's been taking great care of them and they are lasting a very long time!
2. Tam has been in Israel for the past 11 days and is scheduled to come in this Wed. I didn't go because I didn't have any money and the Church won't pay for me to travel anywhere (Randy!) It's been kinda nice with Tam gone because no one phones! Finally Spring is here in Marion. Right now the wind is blowing so hard and I'm afraid the hammock is going to come right through the french doors---stand and all! But, it's so good to see the sun! Last week I worked 3 days in the Salt Lake Temple, and by Friday, I was pooped. People think that all the ordinance workers do is sit and point! I'll tell ya---we run our *&^&*;s off! I really enjoy working there and have had some very spiritual experiences. Oh, I was waiting for the veil to begin and President Monson walked out of one of the sealing rooms. Every once in awhile we get to see some of the GA's!
3. Rae Ann told Mom that John Andrew's hand is doing fine and they think they got all of the infection! I cannot imagine how scary that was! Rumor: Katie and Jeremy and the kids are thinking of coming back to Utah. Not sure when, but I heard that they might.  By the way, BJ is working for Char's brothers in Logan and he says he's really enjoying it. I asked him if he was going to move up to Logan but he said there was a possibility he'd be doing sales for them and that would be down around Salt Lake, so they'll just stay put for right now!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SARA! I remember when you were just a little tyke! I hope you doing something fantastic!
4. I was checking to see who was reading this blog and Mom and Dad came up as one of the readers. I knew my Dad and Mom didn't have a computer so I didn't have a clue as to who it was. Well, Tamara figured it out! It's Doug and Candis! So Dad and Mom, welcome aboard. By the way: ALLISON IS PREGNANT!!!!! (Allison is Tobin's wife and they live in Norfolk, Virginia.) This will be their third little one! She's due in October, I think! Mom is way excited to add to her great grandchildren. She'll have 18 great grandchildren and 17 grandchildren! Pretty good for an old lady!
5. Randy and Leisa are trying to keep up with Anna and Gavan! Anna is pretty excited about graduating from jr. high and going to high school. She's going to be going to a charter school that has an emphasis on Math and Science! In other words gang---she's another Rae Ann! She's wants to be a pharmacist when she grows up! Randy is going to go back to Brazil for the 400th time the first of June!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! YOU ROCK GIRL!
Well that's all the news I can think of! Hope you're all well and happy! Be good and keep your socks up!

HELLO!!!!!

Well this past week has flown by. Mom and I had a good visit yesterday.  We went to lunch over at Maddox with Randy and Leisa and Anna and Gavan. It was fun! We all sat at one of the picnic tables and ate and visited. Anna is entering high school next year and had just gone to an orientation. It's a charter high school connected with Weber State University and sounds like a great school! She is very excited about it. Randy will be going to Brazil again the first of June for the Church. This will be his second or third trip.

John Andrew had his hand operated on last Sunday. They took out the infection and cleaned him up.  They found infection in the joint of the index finger of his right hand. Rae Ann said he's improving a lot and that Monday the doctors will look and see if they got all of the infection! I certainly hope so. Rae Ann said that the doctor told them that there were 10 things that had to go wrong basically at the same time for Andrew to have this kind of thing happen!

In addition to Paige McMurdie graduating last week from Snow, Chace, Doug and Candis' youngest son, graduated from USU! Congratualations to both!!!! Also, Doug said that at the commencement exercises yesterday, Bob Tilley's wife's father got an honorary degree. Neat, huh?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY:  Kyle McMurdie and Janalyn McMurdie Hoopes!!!!!!

WHAT'S NEW???

There are a few things that are new:
1. Paige McMurdie, Doug's youngest daughter has graduated from college with her Associates. She graduated from Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. She is entering USU this fall with a general scholarship and also a Music scholarship! She is majoring in Music!
2. Chace McMurdie, Doug's youngest boy, is graduating from USU this spring with a degree in Business and hoping to go to USU or Weber State for his Masters. Shareesa, his wife, just got through presenting the subject of her master's thesis, which I'm sure is not the correct term for it, but my mind is gone so that's the best I can do!
3. John Andrew, Sara and John Margetts'  oldest boy is in Primary Children's Hospital with who knows! He recently complained of his hand hurting and it started swelling so Sara took him to the Hospital. They found some kind of infection but so far antibiotics don't/won't touch it! We are certainly praying for his recovery!
4. Mom/Maxine continues to do very well. She spends her days doing the activities at the Center, walking, reading, and doing puzzles. She is enjoying being around the people.
