HELLO!!!!

Not much new to report! I went to Providence to visit Ma yesterday. I took Gavan with me. Ma was all excited because she was to be in the River Heights parade. I don't know what they were celebrating, but Josie, Program Director for the Center, arranged for the Center's van to be in the parade and Mom and her friend Lorraine got to sit in the van and throw candy out of the window. The bus driver and his wife and kids and Josie and her kids and Gavan went along as well. I took pictures of it, but they didn't turn out! It was quite a sight but lots of fun for Mom and Lorraine! Last Thursday Mom had an eye appointment with an eye specialist. He found a cyst growing on the optical nerve in her left eye. He did an "in-office" procedure and removed the cyst, so hopefully Mom will be able to see better. She had been saying that she couldn't see very well, so it was a blessing that she had that appointment!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALLISON!!!!
WE WISH YOU THE VERY BEST!!!!!
Well my dears, that's all the news that I know of! Be safe and have a great week!

THIS IS NEW!!!!!

They have changed the format on this so I'm not too sure what to do! I was just barely getting used to the old one! Oh well! I hope everyone came through the week healthy and happy! I went up to Mom's yesterday. She is fine. We looked through some very old photos! They were quite interesting! I'm going to make a slide/movie show with them and, if you're nice, I'll give you a copy. A while back I mailed everyone a plea for new pictures of  everyone!!! So far I have received zilch, nada, zero, nothing!!!! There is still time to get them to me. Remember my email is mmurdie@allwest.net. The critical ones are of the great grandchildren because they change so rapidly! Any photos would be greatly appreciated!!!! Not much news to report. Randy just got back from Chile. He said it was nice and he didn't feel unsafe at all. He said the weather was nice. They're just going into spring. Anna is having a blast!! She loves her charter high school and Gavan says he likes being in the 5th grade. I guess BJ and Char and William have moved to Logan. Right now they're living with Char's parents. Doug said that Tobin and Allison are Ok and weathered the hurricane. They even had a couple in their ward who were evacuated at their house while the storm was going on! Can you believe it, Paige is 21!!!! Oh well, time does tend to go on! Well, that's all I can think of--REMEMBER PHOTOS,EVERYONE!!!! Be good and safe!!!!

GUESS WHAT I FOUND!!!!

Another week has gone by. I think everyone is in school or getting ready for school. Mom is beginning her annual job of calendaring and I just realized that August is over. It seems funny that this summer has gone so fast. I think it's because we didn't start summer until the end of June! I have another picture to share!
I found this going through some old photos! What a gang!!! Also it's HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PAIGE!

She's changed a tad but she's still as cute as a button!!! HAPPY 21ST

IT'S BEEN A WHILE!!!

It's been awhile since I wrote, so I guess I'll sit down and write a few lines. Since I last wrote a couple of things have happened: 1. Tam and I went to see the Martin Harris Pagent in Clarkston 2) I was called to be an assistant temple coordinator.
We saw the Martin Harris Pagent and I wasn't too thrilled with it. I don't know why, probably just me. It's the first time I had been to see it. We stayed overnight in Logan at the Best Western Weston motel. That was really nice! Doug and Candis got us the room! The next morning we got up and ate breakfast at Angies and then decided to go see the movie, "The 17 Miracles." WOW!!!!! That was so awesome! Of course I cried all the way through it, but what a great film. If you haven't seen it---GO!!!! Then a week ago one of the Salt Lake Temple Matrons called me to be a shift assistant coordinator. I was shocked because I've only been working at the temple for a little over a year. I thought you would have at least 5 or 6 years under your belt before they had you do anything like that!
School is about to start for everyone.  I can't believe the summer has gone so fast! I think it's because we had such a short one. Half of June was spent with snow on the ground!! Yes folks, SNOW!!!!
By the way, today in Sunday School, Brother Mark Tuttle said he met my brother and knowing me was surprised that he was a nice fellow! I asked if he was alive and well, and he said yes!
Well, I can't think of anything else! Oh---this year, because of budget cuts, we're giving calendars to the kids and grandkids only! It's amazing how much all the stuff costs, but at least every grandkid and their family and kid will receive a calendar! Oh well! Be good and keep your socks up!

TIME IS PASSING!

Dear Everyone!  I don't know if you received the news yet, but Aunt Jodie, Uncle Doug Wadsworth's wife, passed away last night in Logan. She was in a care center and everyone but Steve was with her when she passed away! Pat Wadsworth emailed me the news and said, "Just imagine the reunion going on the other side!" She was 98 years old! I am sure she is estatic and so is Uncle Doug! The funeral is not definitely set yet, but will be sometime this week.
It's a very small world. After the news about Neil's calling broke Tamara called me and told me that a Brother Tuttle from church headquarters was going to go and train Neil and others. Well, it turns out that Brother Mark Tuttle is in my ward. He's a neat guy!!!! I told him to say hello to Neil from me! I haven't talked to Rae Ann lately so I assume all of her family is doing great! Randy and Leisa's Chinese visitors will be leaving this Wednesday! I'll bet the girls had a real good time!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ON AUGUST 9TH, TO:
BAILEY MCMURDIE

MARY ALVAREZ

Well hope all is well with everyone! By the way, I told Mom about Neil and Tamara coming the last of Sept. for a couple of weeks, so plan on getting together at some point during their visit! Be good and keep your socks up!!!!

THIS PAST WEEK!!!

Howdy everyone! I would have posted on Sunday but we were having a small problem with our internet and I couldn't get any internet until later that day!!!! Anyway----well the big new is that Neil has a new Church calling! He is the Public Affairs Director for the Hartford Connecticut Temple and also on the committee of the Public Affairs, North America-Northeast area!  Pretty nifty, huh??? He'll be set apart by Elder Henry B. Eyring"s son Matthew Eyring  in the next couple of weeks! Way to go bro! Mom and the rest of the gang are very proud of you!!!!! They couldn't have picked a better man!!!!

Pat Wadsworth and Rae Ann visiting

Kathryn, Gavan, Craig and the Chinese students staying with Randy and Leisa are playing cards!

Emma and Matthew Margetts making a craft at the reunion

Paige,Doug, Candis and Leisa visiting

Bob Tilly, John Margetts and Randy playing bocchi
Last Saturday was the Fred and Rachel Wadsworth reunion! It was held in Brigham City because the cabin is still very wet and muddy! Personally, I think we'll just get it dried out and the lawn cut and maybe the big cabin cleaned and then winter will be here! We've had so much moisture lately!!! Anyway the reunion was headed by the Tilleys and it was fun! Brent and Pat Wadsworth and Donna Wadsworth were there! Donnie came without Jean because she was hosting a reunion for her family. Good food and lots of visiting was done and it was fun! Roger Griffin couldn't make it but he said that his mother, Nancy Griffin, has cancer. Also we found out that Don Wadsworth had a very bad accident last Jan/Feb and almost lost his hand! He is just recovered enough to go back to work! From what Pat said, he's lucky to be alive!  I'm going to include some reunion pics.
By the way, I've changed the main picture because someone, not me, thought they looked toooooooooo ????  Well, all I have to say is that when you get as big as me----we'll talk! Anyway--I found this one and decided to try this one for a while! It occurred to me that we've not had one taken of just the children of Bill and Maxine McMurdie for a while, so maybe if you come out Neil! By the way Neil, Mom is afraid now that your new calling will keep you from coming out and the next time you come west will be to her funeral! Oh well, we do what we can! Everyone behave and keep your socks up!!!!!

HELLO!

Well today I did another boo-boo in church! For the sacrament song I thought I we were singing page 175 and then the 1st counselor announced, I thought, page 176. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I played page 176 and actually he said page 177 and so people were all confused, but it worked out because the words for 177 are the same for 176 but 177 has a chorus! DON'T GET OLD and senile! I don't know of any great news other than Doug and Mom are having an ongoing battle with the thermostat in her room. She keeps putting it on heat and then it's way hot. I guess she's becoming like Grandma Mac. Randy and Leisa were up at the cabin on Friday and Randy said you still can't get down to the bend....well there is no bend/beach because it's still covered with water. Inside the cabin it is dry, but the outside grounds are all muddy and wet. He said it would be probably 2 or 3 weeks before it would be dry enough to drive on and walk on. That reminds me. We still have campgrounds up here that are closed due to snow. This week we started back to the temple. We got 2 weeks off! I don't know how those little old ladies do it! By the end of my session I am bushed!!!! Friday I helped with the brides. We had about 30 come through during our session but they said next Friday there will be at least 70 weddings! Oh well, I have some very kind ladies to help me do my job! I talked to Rae Ann and she and Brent are busy with their mission. Tomorrow they are taking a Sudanese family to the Days of `47 Parade and then taking them home for lunch. Randy and Leisa and the kids and the 2 exchange students are coming up here for lunch. I don't know about the menu. They may only get Top Ramen. I hope everyone is well! I'm including some pictures from our Nauvoo trip!
